Gorgeous crib,
Nobody can believe this beautiful crib was relatively so inexpensive for the quality. The wood is gorgeous. Very, very sturdy. Did have to get help putting it together but that’s just me. The way it converts from a crib to a toddler bed to an adult double bed is a wonderful investment for years to come. Waited till grandson was a year old to buy this but wish I’d gotten it much sooner.

|Decent value for the price… very smelly upon first opening.,
I purchased this crib for our 4.5 month old. Since most of the challenges with off gassing occur with mattresses, we decided to spend most of our budget on a real good natural latex based mattress with organic cotton cover and buy a less expensive crib.
We purchased this crib because this crib was the only thing we could find close to the color of rest of our nursery furniture for the price range we were looking at.
I just put the crib together today and my first impression is that the smell is overwhelming. The manufacturer states that the paint is not toxic, but just putting it together gave me a headache. Will have to keep in in a room with a fan on and windows open for awhile and see if it airs out.
A few criticisms… the color spray is not uniformly applied and while the crib seems very sturdy, certain pieces are cut a little off of perfect. Also, the color was much more orange (cognac) and more of a gloss that the any of the pictures on the web show (I checked with multiple monitors before purchasing) and some of the screws were damaged.
For the price though, not a bad find. It is all real wood except for the mattress support which is particle/pressed board. Note that some of the wood pieces are glued together to form one whole piece. I do not know whether the glue that they use for form the pieces together and as a bonding agent in the the particle/pressed board emit formaldahyde or not. Likely better toxicity than a full particle board crib, but not as good as one made with no glues or particle/pressed board.
It is pretty easy to put together if you have experience with do it yourself furniture. Helpful hint… before you spend an hour searching for and wondering why the directions were not included on how to put it together (yeah… I did), check the mattress support. The directions on how to put it together (and convert it to a toddler bed, and full bed) were glued to the back of the board.

|The Crib looks great!,
We bought this crib for our daughter’s room. It arrived yesterday and the box looked a little bit rough, the crib was packaged really well though and there was no damage to the crib. My husband had some frustrations putting the crib together, all in all it took him about 90 minutes. The crib looks great and seems really sturdy. I think this crib is going to last a long time.
My husband really wishes the instructions to put the crib together were more clear.
